Brooksville Real Estate

The historic town of Brooksville, Florida is located about 45 minutes north of Tampa. Its origins are traced back to 1845 (then known as Melendez) when it was first inhabited. Downtown Brooksville features a number of restaurants on its cobble-stoned streets as well as many art and craft stores.  Brooksville has spread in size over the years and now encompasses a much larger area than it did originally but the city of Brooksville itself is still very small.

Step back in time and wonder up and down the streets and admire the history of this beautiful place. The trees arch over the streets and the southern style homes stand proud as a reminder of a previous time. It has been voted “Outstanding Rural Community of the Year” several times and a visit there will show you why.

Brooksville is also home to the Pasco-Hernando State College campus on the edge of the city. The College now offers 4-year degree courses as of January 2014. Brooksville even has its own public airport six miles south of the main town. There are also 3 beautiful parks in Brooksville for everyone to enjoy featuring walking trails, picnic facilities, sports facilities, children’s play areas and more. They even have “Art in the Park” every year and have movie nights in the park on the big screen for families to enjoy.

Brooksville Country Club features the magnificent quarry holes that have been sculpted into an old quarry for stunning views and tricky golf for golfers of all skill levels. It is a truly one of a kind experience that every golfer should experience. Southern Hills Plantation is the only Pete Dye golf course in the area and, as the name suggests, features rolling terrain and wonderful scenery.
